Photoshop: metallic buttons test

There's a Photoshop tutorial: how to make cool metal buttons. It shows an interesting use of the noise effect, and the radial blur (that part starts around 3:40)

My efforts...a random shape, a new logo I made me, and a letter. I played around with what the tutorial gives a little bit. I got a bit more serious with the 3rd. At the 2 first I should have avoided the extra shade below...and I should have centered the fish better. Conclusion: "sharp" style looks way better on metal. Also: I should first learn and then play.

Note: I've decided to set a time limit every time I sketch, to raise my productivity and avoid overworking pieces. So...I may not correct some pieces, although I'm able to. Or under-work some others. Let's see how it goes.
